Biography
Kristen is a social computing researcher with prior work experience as a data scientist, research analyst, and project manager. They use human-computer interaction and computational methods informed by social science theories to empirically measure and experimentally mitigate harmful interactions. Their research examines user engagement with audience and AI-driven interventions, pro-social dynamics, and problematic content online. Kristen aims to contribute to trust and safety online by aiding user disengagement from and resilience against conspiracy theories and extremism.
